My Love Note
The Italian Market to me is more than just a place; it’s an experience. Before moving to Brooklyn, I lived at the corner of 9th and Christian above Monsu, one of the best Italian restaurants in the city (Pete is a genius). The options for breakfast are also great, whether it be getting a slice of Sarcones Tomato Pie or a bagel from Gleaner’s. You can always get your fill. At the Italian Market, you can get your groceries fresh and have “your” butcher, sausage guy, pasta guy and cheese guy — you don’t get an experience like that today in any supermarket. And for a foodie like me, it doesn’t get any better.
