My love note: You can find me in the park. Pennypack Park. Off the trail nestled between Winchester Park and Holmesburg, tucked neatly under Rhawn Street. A guy pretending to be Bob Seeger is singing “Against the Wind,” I’m drinking beer from a plastic cup and my friends are on the blanket beside me, in various stages of relaxation. The sun is going down over Northeast Philadelphia and kids sell glo-stics to raise money for the next concert, someone pretending to be Tina Turner. It’s a Wednesday night in the summer – Pennypack Park concert nights – and there’s no place I’d rather be.
