My Love Note

To The Brotherly City I Love:

Thank you for nestling me in always open arms. You took this suburban kid and turned him into a man from the big city. From your outdoor farmer’s markets and street fairs to your hidden gardens and restaurants whispering the sounds of a local jazz musicians or perfuming me with smells of honeysuckle, barbecues, and freshly fallen rain, you’ve have always held me close. Begging me to stay a little longer. Enticing me to dream an even bigger dream. One that I thought was beyond me, but later showed it was possible.

We’ve had those up and those downs like any relationship does, but you, Philly, you have taught me respect. You’ve taught me the strength of positivity. You’ve taught me that hitting up Geno’s or Pat’s at 2am is always a great idea. Thank you my friend! Your love envelops me daily. Stay beautiful, Philadelphia…

All my love…
