My love note:

To the Philadelphia Dancing Scene,

I love passing by the studio of the Koresh School of Dance on Chestnut Street between 20th and 21st and watching the dancers as they learn and rehearse. It’s where I took my first of many dancing steps and through many intense but fun classes, was able to grow into the dancer I am today. I found a bond with others that share in the love of performance and discovered some of the truest parts of myself.

Philadelphia has deep roots in the world of dance and continues to be a home for many artists looking to learn, connect, and perform. The last Thursday of every month is the “Gathering” at 40th and Walnut, an underground dance event with break-dancers, emcees, and turntablists. It’s on my calendar, and in my heart, forever. Thank you for inspiring me every day and helping me discover my passion how to make a career out of it.
