My Love Note:

One of my favorite spots is the Ryerss Museum and Library in Burholme Park in Northeast Philadelphia. Robert Ryerss bequeathed his home and 80 acres of land to the people of the city of Philadelphia. The Museum, which houses an eccentric collection of items from Europe, Asia and the United States is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tours are always free and the museum houses a lending library also. The Victorian mansion oversees picnic areas, sports fields, a golf range and batting cage, and the peaceful west woodlands of the park. The museum has many events that are always free to the public such as Easter egg hunts, Christmas Bazaar, Petallozza, Fox Chase Reading Series, crafty kids, special book signings and movie events.
